UNDERFLOOR HEATING WITH A RENOVATION FILMIn case the renovation site's structure height poses tight restrictions, the best solution is the INFRAHEAT Renovation Heating Film. The INFRAHEAT renovation film is, like its' name suggests, a thin film, with which the height the underfloor heating requires is practically 0 mm. Therefore, when renovating, this heating solution allows you to leave your doors and thresholds unaltered. Film Structure The INFRAHEAT heating films are made of a metal foil placed between two double-plastic films. The special characteristic of the metal is that it won't melt until in about 140° C. This makes the heating film completely fireproof. The standard width of the floor heating elements is 540 mm. Other widths are available through a separate order. The installation is made freely between the supporting rails. Pieces of lath are then stapled to the other end to ensure that the film doesn't curl up on its own, but instead stays flat and even. The first end will be kept straight by the wiring cables going into the installation tube. The foil lays freely on the insulant. One must also not forget to leave an airspace between the bottom surface of the floor and the foil! The film connections in the other end of the films are waterproof. Also on the other end, the connections are protected by a heat-resistant tape. The film has a product label with information about the surface output (W/m²), width (dm), length (dm), total output (W) and the switching voltage (V). Underfloor Heating with a Cable Mat Installing underfloor heating to a bathroom couldn't be any easier than by using a Thermoflex- cable mat. See for yourself by looking at the Picture series on this page. The Thermoflex Cable Mat has a self-adhering structure, so no extra castings need to be done. The mat lifts the floor only about 4mm, so in most cases there is no need for altering the door height. Thermoflex is designed to be highly flexible in order to give you a complete freedom in placing the heating. The flexible installation guarantees that those tricky corners, angles and lead-ins will give you no trouble. |
